Hachimanbori was once in a state of disrepair and was even planned to be reclaimed.

Mt. Hachiman rises magnificently in the idyllic scenery of the waterside area.
It takes about 4 minutes by ropeway to the summit with an altitude of 271m.
At the top is the nephew of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, who built a castle on this mountain.
There is Murakumo Imperial Palace Zuiryu-ji Temple, where Lord Hidetsugu is enshrined.
From the top of the mountain, you can see Omihachiman urban area, Lake Biwa, Lake Nishinoko, etc.
You can enjoy a large panorama that shows a rich atmosphere in each season.
